What is Cash Management ?
Cash management is an important part of any business’ efforts to thrive financially. Cash management is a broad term that applies to the collecting, managing and investing of cash. Think of it as the balance between the money a business takes in and the money it pays out. In the long run, businesses need more coming in. When done well, cash management enables businesses to avoid insolvency and handle unexpected costs. It also reduces the time bills spend in accounts receivables, and finds the best short-term investments. Cash management can entail hiring debt collectors, or be as simple as locking cash in a box so it can’t be stolen. Small businesses rely more on efficient cash management because they typically lack access to more favorable lines of credit. Many times they face large start-up costs that require having cash readily available. Those who handle a company’s cash management must demonstrate a high level of financial literacy. Typically, they assume corporate treasury or business manager positions that carry great responsibility. New techniques and technology are regularly developed, so cash managers must be able to adapt quickly. Read more: Copyright © Investopedia.com

It may be used to describe all bank accounts provided to businesses of a certain size, but it is more often used to describe specific services such as cash concentration, zero balance accounting, and automated clearing house facilities. Accounting Cash Management
SAP Cash Management is SAP’s financial module used to manage companies’ cash position and liquidity forecast. This module relies heavily on the FI modules (General Ledger, Accounts Receivable and Payable) as main sources of information. It filters FI information to keep only cash relevant postings that it organizes and aggregates according to their cash flow characteristics. SAP Cash Management distinguishes between the cash position and the liquidity forecast. Although this distinction seems to indicate a difference in planning term (cash position referring to short term planning and liquidity forecast referring to mid-term planning), there is actually a more subtile difference. From SAP terminology point of view, the cash position is updated only when the amount, the term, the currency AND the cash account that will be debited or credited are known. When the cash account is unknown, SAP updates the liquidity forecast. This means that a movement on a bank account or a payment in transit account (represented by G/L accounts in the system) will update the cash position while an invoice on a customer account will affect only the liquidity forecast since the cash account that will be debited when the customer will pay his invoice is unknown as long as the payment has not occurred. Transaction Code (Tcode): FF73 - Automatic Cash Concentration FF.8 - Bank Correspondence FF.9 - Post Payment Advices from Cash Management and Forecast FF7A - Cash Management and Forecast FF7B - Cash Management and Forecast FF63 - Create Memo Record SAP SE (Systems, Applications & Products in Data Processing) is a German multinational software corporation that makes enterprise software to manage business operations and customer relations. SAP is headquartered in Walldorf, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, with regional offices in 130 countries. The company has over 293,500 customers in 190 countries. In 1973, the first commercial product was launched. It was called SAP R/98 and offered a common system for multiple tasks. This permitted the use of a centralized data storage, improving the maintenance of data. From a technical point of view, therefore, a database was necessary. In 1976, SAP GmbH was founded, and moved its headquarters the following year to Walldorf, Germany. Three years later, in 1979, SAP launched SAP R/2, expanding the capabilities of the system to other areas, such as material management and production planning. In 1981, SAP brought a re-designed product to market.

What Does a CFO Do, Cash Management
http://GatewayCFO.com -In this series of videos, we're going to go into depth on the major areas of responsibility for a CFO or Chief Financial Officer. A good CFO will have reach and responsibility in many areas of a company. Today we're going to talk about cash management. In today's business and economic environment, cash management is certainly one of the most important duties of a CFO. From cash forecasting to treasury, not a day should go by that your CFO isn't working on some sort of cash issue. From day one, proactive planning should be the goal. This is achieved primarily through forecasts and dashboards. Forecasting cash requirements and anticipated cash flow on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis will give your business the tools to make better business decisions and head off problems before they arise. This requires a team effort between the managers of your business working with the CFO, to forecast and plan for future billings, collections, payables, costs and expenses. Having this detailed cash roadmap will allow you to manage debt effectively, plan for the use of excess cash, and as already stated, head off problems before they arise. Establishing these projections, along with cash dashboards, gives you the tools to be in control of your business. Being in control means keeping your line of credit at optimal levels, understanding the necessary goals of your accounting department, and planning proactively for the uses of cash. By having a strong cash management system, you can manage your bank line of credit or other debt to minimize interest payments. This will improve the future cash position and also improve your P&L. By deeply understanding your projected cash position, you can also invest conservatively in short-term liquid assets, thereby increasing your future cash position even more. But the largest benefit is without a doubt the ability to insure that cash is available to meet short-term working capital needs. These needs include payroll, utilities, rent, payables and a slew of other SG&A expenses. Not understanding your working capital requirements, and how your collection cycle could impact your ability to meet them, can cause serious pain. By charting out your future cash inflows and outflows, you can spot trouble areas before they become problems. If you are not planning your cash flow, then do you really know what waits around the corner? What if you take on a new customer? How will that impact your cash position and your ability to serve your existing customers? Without a good cash management system, it is difficult to truly understand. A good CFO will implement such systems immediately. Be sure to watch the next video in the "What Does a CFO Do" series on Financial Reporting, and definitely stop by http://GatewayCFO.com to get your FREE copy of Cash Flow Clarity, a cash planning system that will finally allow you to get your cash flow under control, make more money, and regain your peace of mind.

Cash Flow Statement
Cash flow statement:- In financial accounting, a cash flow statement, also known as statement of cash flows,[1] is a financial statement that shows how changes in balance sheet accounts and income affect cash and cash equivalents, and breaks the analysis down to operating, investing and financing activities. Essentially, the cash flow statement is concerned with the flow of cash in and out of the business. The statement captures both the current operating results and the accompanying changes in the balance sheet.[1] As an analytical tool, the statement of cash flows is useful in determining the short-term viability of a company, particularly its ability to pay bills. International Accounting Standard 7 (IAS 7), is the International Accounting Standard that deals with cash flow statements. People and groups interested in cash flow statements include: • Accounting personnel, who need to know whether the organization will be able to cover payroll and other immediate expenses • Potential lenders or creditors, who want a clear picture of a company's ability to repay • Potential investors, who need to judge whether the company is financially sound • Potential employees or contractors, who need to know whether the company will be able to afford compensation • Shareholders of the business

How To Budget And Save Money | Money Management Tips
FREE COURSE To Start Your Online Business: http://projectlifemastery.com/free-course Are you looking for ways to stop letting money control your life? In this video, Stefan provides you with some money management tips for how to budget and save money. Saving is very important. You have to make sure that you are putting money aside every month. The problem is that most people do not budget or save their money. In fact, most people live paycheque to paycheque. Whatever money they earn goes directly to paying off their monthly expenses. Therefore, there is no positive cash flow that they can then use and put aside. Harv Eker said it best – “It comes down to this: Either you control money, or it controls you. To control money, you must manage it”. Understanding Cash Flow
http://www.MDTSeminar.com Cash flow is the net amount of cash and cash-equivalents moving into and out of a business. Positive cash flow indicates that a company's liquid assets are increasing, enabling it to settle debts, reinvest in its business, return money to shareholders, pay expenses and provide a buffer against future financial challenges. Negative cash flow indicates that a company's liquid assets are decreasing. Net cash flow is distinguished from net income, which includes accounts receivable and other items for which payment has not actually been received. Cash flow is used to assess the quality of a company's income, that is, how liquid it is, which can indicate whether the company is positioned to remain solvent. Often called the "statement of cash flows," the cash flow statement indicates whether a company's income is languishing in the form of IOUs – not a sustainable situation in the long term – or is translating into cash flow. Even very profitable companies, as measured by their net incomes, can become insolvent if they do not have the cash and cash-equivalents to settle short-term liabilities. If a company's profit is tied up in accounts receivable, prepaid expenses and inventory, it may not have the liquidity to survive a downturn in its business or a lawsuit. Cash flow determines the quality of a company's income; if net cash flow is less than net income, that could be a cause for concern. Cash flow statements are divided into three categories: operating cash flow, investing cash flow and financing cash flow. Operating cash flows are those related to a company's operations, that is, its day-to-day business. Investing cash flows relate to its investments in businesses through acquisition; in long-term assets, such as towers for a telecom provider; and in securities. Financing cash flows relate to a company's investors and creditors: dividends paid to stockholders would be recorded here, as would cash proceeds from issuing bonds.

3 Minutes! Cash Flow Statement Tutorial for Cash Flow Statement Analysis Explained
Clicked here http://mbabullshit.com/ and WOW I'm shocked how easy so I'm sharing this... share it with your friends too! If You Liked it, Support my Free Videos at https://www.patreon.com/MBAbull Cash Flow Statement Explained In 3 Minutes What does it really mean when we say a company is "earning a lot?" If a company gets $100 this year and has costs and expense of $60, then we can easily say that it "earned" $40, right? But what if... The company makes $100 in sales this year, only collects $80 in cash this year, and then will collect the remaining $20 next year? This year's Cash Flow Statement would only record the actual collected $80... and not the total sales of $100 And what if... the company had $60 in costs, expenses, capital expenditures, and taxes but only paid $50 in cash this year, and will pay the $10 balance next year? This year's Cash Flow statement would only record the paid $50, and not the total costs/expenses of $60 In a Cash Flow statement, the only thing that matters is how much a business gets in cash... and how much it pays in cash. This year's Cash Flow Statement also includes cash collected for previous years' sales or even future years' sales... as long as it's collected THIS YEAR. This year's Cash Flow Statement also includes cash PAID for previous years or even future years' costs, expenses, capital expenditures, and taxes... as long as it's paid THIS YEAR. Note that a Cash Flow statement can be for any time period, and not only a 1-year time period like we used in this simple example. See? So that's the super simplified explanation of a Cash Flow Statement. Would you like to learn how to make your own Cash Flow Statement? Check out my FREE video at MBAbullshit.com . See ya there!

2.3 Cash Management: Checking Account Policies & Practices
2.0 Cash Management "We've already talked about the expense side of cash management that's controlled by the budgets we establish. What about the income side?" This six-part segment starts with a discussion about gross versus net pay—how much money you can reasonably expect to take home each pay period and how to manage the withholding taxes your company removes from your paycheck in the first place. In fact, the second video in this series is a problem-solving exercise that introduces you to an online tool that was designed for just that purpose. In the third video, I talk about checking account policies and practices, as well as the best ways to guard against unnecessary (and expensive) fees by tightly managing your balances. Afterward, you'll learn about debit cards and the issues associated with their use, the key strategies for success when it comes to cash management, as well as a series of guidelines for retaining, referencing and securely archiving important information that's also sensitive in nature.
