Thanks Jake How I got a Job at an Ivy League School In this video I try to show people how to get a job. I explain how to get a job in higher end institutions such as Ivy League Schools by explain how I got a job at an Ivy League school. I explain top to bottom how I started by scouting the physical location in which I wanted to work and identified the nicer looking buildings and nicer facilities to identify what appear to be a place that I definitely wanted to work. I then tell how I physically went to the Campus human resources department and attempted to talk to someone in person. The secretary explained they had their own online website for job applicants and I filled out an online profile and applied for every job that I could do. I applied several times to jobs and a few weeks later was given a call for an interview. I then again scouted out the department and tried to figure out how people that were doing that job dressed so that I could dress appropriately for the interview. Well before the interview I did a tremendous amount of research into the job I was being interviewed for by reading everything available about the department the history of the University their vision of what I would be doing. I even did additional research beyond their website prior to the interview. I went early, I was dress right, knew what I was talking about and wowed them with my personality. I impressed all three levels that interviewed me. Finally that night I wrote a physical thank you letter and dropped it of to their mailbox so they would have it the next day. The combination of the physically scouting out where you want to work, attempting to talk to someone in person, following the institutions instructions on how to apply, scouting out the appropriate dress for the position I would be doing, lots and lots of research on the University, department and job, wowing them at the interview and writing and delivering a thank you letter that night work. I was hired. These tip and techniques are not only applicable to getting a job at an University but also can be applied for a wide variety of job searchers. An argument between two fellow staffers recently went viral. The altercation started over a stolen sandwich. The first picture shows a note on the company fridge that called out the then unknown person who was stealing an employee’s sandwiches. The culprit responded with his own note that said he had the precious sandwich and was holding it hostage. He ordered the writer to leave 10 dollars on a plate in the fridge. The City Wide 3-on-3 Hoops Tournament and Battle of the City Departments took place Saturday, July 28th at USF’s War Memorial Gym. The event was for youth ages 8-17 representing each of our 11 districts (300 plus youth will be participating in the Finals). There was also an exhibition Battle of the City Departments tournament. City Agencies involved were SFPD, SFFD, Mayor’s Office, PUC, Public Works, Rec & Park, Board of Sup’s team, District Attorney’s Office, Public Defender’s Office, Sheriff’s Department, Human Services Agency, SF Giants Admin and Golden State Warriors Admin. The Mayor’s 3-on-3 Youth Hoops Tournament aims to encourage youth from all 11 city districts to develop teamwork, sportsmanship, and friendships on and off the court. Participants, who range from ages 8 to 17, took part in friendly competition and also had the opportunity to explore the many resources the City has to offer them at the Resource Fair. Further, 1,000 plus youth representing the entire city have participated in the city-wide regional tournaments that took place June 30th and July 14th at various Rec & Park sites.

Miel holds positions in the Operating Board and Innovation Board of ALD in Paris and is President of the Board of ALD Re, a Dublin based reinsurance company. In 2015 Miel was elected CEO of the Year by Peoplesphere Magazine for his efforts to modernize human resources management and put talent at the center of his company.
