S&P Global Platts explains Asia LNG Market On Close (MOC) process

07:30
S&P Global Platts published for the very first time a firm and transparent offer in its Asia LNG assessment process on June 13, 2018. Since then, Platts has been publishing transparent bids, offers and trades in the LNG Market on Close process from several market participants on an almost daily basis. This level of transparency is rare in LNG trading. Kenneth Foo, LNG price assessment team leader, and Gurdeep Singh, senior specialist for methodology development, explain the Asia LNG MOC process, what it means for the broader market as well as for the Platts assessment of the JKM benchmark.

Ep: 77 Trading During Pre-Market & After Hours Sessions

26:31
Ep: 77 Trading During Pre-Market & After Hours Sessions ★ SUMMARY ★ in this week’s episode, what I’d like to do is share with you some insight about trading during pre-market and after-market hours. I’m going to give you some insight about pre-market, after-market, trading in them, what is it that I do, what I don’t’ do, and that way you just get some insight if you want to trade pre-market or post-market. In order to do this and show you some examples of what pre-market and post-market is, I’m going to be using the think or swim platform, with TD Ameritrade. It’s just an easy platform to teach with, because I can make things larger and bigger, normally I do prefer the TC2000 for scanning stocks right here, or you can take a look at it at freestockcharts.com But in general this platform, unless you have the platinum version, I believe, it doesn’t really allow you to see the pre-market and after-market hours, at least not very well. I’m just going to use the think or swim to demonstrate this, because you can see here in the grey areas of the charting area that you can see that pre-market and after market, so first it’s after-market, and then the day will split, and then it’s pre-market that’s being shown. It just depends on which stock you type in, whether that’s a Netflix, you can see all those little grey areas those are not regular trading time frames . And if you go into the five minute, you can really start seeing those pre-market and after-market hours. What is pre-market and after-market First off, what is pre-market, after-market and give you the big picture of do I really trade during those time frames and is it worth it. Long story short, pre-market and after-market hours are just not regular trading time frames, they are something after the 4 o’ clock bell, and something before the 9:30 opening bell. You can trade pre-market quite early, I believe anywhere between the 4 am, which is the really early pre-market, but at 6 am, 8:30 am, is really when things start picking up, and you slowly can see that with the clock over here at the bottom. What is the difference between a limit and market order?

06:22
What is the difference between a limit and market order? ★ SUMMARY ★ Market order Think of a market order as paying the market price when buying or really selling a stock, meaning you would pay whatever price is necessary to get your shares. Limit order When it comes to a limit order, you get to specify the price you want to pay for the stock. You get favorable pricing, but you may not get filled with your order if your price is not met. When should you use market order or limit order? When do you use one of the other? Well, market order is great if you need to get into a stock right away, really fast, typically day trading, and you’re trading liquid stocks. Understanding Short Selling | by Wall Street Survivor

What is short selling? Join our Fall Trading Contest and win $500 when you practice trading: https://www.wallstreetsurvivor.com/register?utm_source=Youtube&utm_medium=VideoLink&utm_campaign=FallContest Most people think of investing as buying a stock (or other asset) and making money when its price goes up - but it’s also possible to make a profit when a stock price goes down. This process is called short selling (or shorting). Short selling isn’t all peaches and cream. There are opportunities for high returns, but as usual, these come with high risks. The big risk here is that there is no limit to your losses. When you buy a stock, you can only lose the amount that you invested. But when you short, your losses are infinite because there is theoretically no end to how high a stock’s price can rise. Short selling isn’t for everyone. It requires a lot of time and research, and a desire for high risks and high returns. Short selling is primarily used for speculator looking to make a profit when the market goes down or investing looking to hedge their position. Understanding Long and Short Terms in Stock Market Trading

03:58
These terms are more efficient than terms like "buy" and "sell" because they tell your position--your mindset on a particular stock or on the industry. Long: -Positive on the market -You can also be "long" on a particular stock: If you are long Nike, you're expecting it to go up Short: -Negative on the market -You can also be "short" on a particular stock: If you are short Nike, you're expecting it to go down -Selling with the intention to buy the shares back at a lower price Benefits of using "Long"/"Short" vs. "Buy"/"Sell": -If you have 1,000 shares of Nike and you tell someone you sold 500 shares, they could assume you think Nike is going to go down even though you are still positive 500 shares. -If you think a certain stock will go down and you decide to sell all 1,000 shares and later purchase 300 shares, and you tell someone that you bought the 300 shares, it is not clear that you are still negative 700 shares. They may not understand that you think Nike will go down. -"Long" and "short" remove the ambiguity associated with the terms "buy" and "sell." ★ SUBSCRIBE TO MY YOUTUBE: ★ http://bit.ly/addtradersfly ★ ABOUT TRADERSFLY ★ TradersFly is a place where I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience about the stock market, trading, and investing. Risk Disclosure: Futures and forex trading contains substantial risk and is not for every investor. An investor could potentially lose all or more than the initial investment. Risk capital is money that can be lost without jeopardizing ones’ financial security or life style. Only risk capital should be used for trading and only those with sufficient risk capital should consider trading. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results. Hypothetical Performance Disclosure: Hypothetical performance results have many inherent limitations, some of which are described below. no representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown; in fact, there are frequently sharp differences between hypothetical performance results and the actual results subsequently achieved by any particular trading program. One of the limitations of hypothetical performance results is that they are generally prepared with the benefit of hindsight. In addition, hypothetical trading does not involve financial risk, and no hypothetical trading record can completely account for the impact of financial risk of actual trading. for example, the ability to withstand losses or to adhere to a particular trading program in spite of trading losses are material points which can also adversely affect actual trading results. There are numerous other factors related to the markets in general or to the implementation of any specific trading program which cannot be fully accounted for in the preparation of hypothetical performance results and all which can adversely affect trading results. Ideas and Strategies for Trading Market Opens 💡

07:22
Ideas and strategies for trading the opening stages of an exchange. http://www.financial-spread-betting.com/course/technical-analysis.html PLEASE LIKE AND SHARE THIS VIDEO SO WE CAN DO MORE! We are talking about the opening in trading - that is going to be indices, stocks - it is not going to be currencies so much because those trade round-the-clock. The open for me is the first hour of the day - why do I want to trade the opening of the day? The opening if you get it right is perhaps one of the most profitable times to trade for day traders. There's often a supply-demand imbalance, there is a lot of pressure going on one side and not as much on the other side. Volume may be aggressive in one direction and it could switch quite quickly. One thing you have to be careful - I have struggled trading the opening drive in my initial years and I lost money when I started out. Have a premise on what you're looking for. You can say look for fake-outs or 5 or 10 minute breakouts - the important is to have a strategy in place - essentially what you intend to do should an opportunity come up.

Watch This Tutorial And Start Profiting From Trading The Market

27:26
You can join the Trend Traders Club here: https://localweb.lpages.co/trend-traders-17-confirm/ Hey, it’s Rocky Tapscott here. And first of all, I’d like to welcome you, and thank you for registering to watch this presentation.  Today, I’m going to show you how to find and trade fast moving trends and I’m going to show you a simple proven strategy that will help you to improve your results, reduce your stress and make trading much more fun.  In step one, the goal is to trade only with the trend, and I’m going to show you a simple strategy for staying on the right side of the market and always trading with the trend.  In other words, you should only be trading markets that are trending strongly.  So I want you to start trading only with the trend: buying stocks or other markets that are trading above or rising 20 period simple moving average. And on the other side of the coin, you want to be selling stocks or short anything that’s trading below a falling 20 period simple moving average.  There’s no way you should be long or buying anything that’s going down in value. If it can't even rally up to the 20 period moving average you just want to avoid it. Now, just following this one tip could allow to generate an extraordinary surge in your trading success within a short period of time, massively increasing the confidence you feel, along with your self-esteem and your feelings of self-worth.  Now, I know as a trader, when you have a series of loses, you lose confidence, you feel bad about yourself and you start to feel worthless if the run of loses goes on long enough.  By simply trading with the trend and buying when the market is trading above a rising 20 period moving average, and either being out of, or short markets that are trading below a falling 20 period moving average, simple moving average, you’re going to start feeling a whole lot better about yourself because you’re going to be on the winning side of the market much more often.  And when you’re feeling good about yourself, when you’re feeling confident, you’re going to be even more likely to continue producing these kind of results in the future.  Plus, you’ll double or triple the number of successful trading opportunities you are able to participate in in the future.  In step two, I’m going to show you how you can enter fast moving trends safely. This is a simple, low-risk mechanical entry signal that allows you to enter those trends while most of the traders are sitting on their hands, frozen in fear.  How would you like to enjoy the benefits of having an entirely new. consistently reliable entry trigger. for confirming its time to get on board these fast moving trends, without having to second guess your analysis or worry that the market is going to instantly turn around and bite you as soon as you get in?  If you take advantage of this next simple tactic, you will have an extraordinary ability to enter strong trends at will, knowing there’s a better than 80% chance the market will continue heading in your direction.  You will be able to use this entry trigger over and over again, in combination with the 20 period simple moving average we just discussed, to vastly improve your results.  All you need to do is a simple exercise that requires nothing more than looking at some of your favorite stocks using a candlestick chart.  The next time you open your stock charting program, I want you to add a 20 period simple moving average to your chart, and then look back for a candlestick pattern that looks like this.  As you can see, it’s what’s called a bullish engulfing pattern, and it’s characterized by the body of a candle that completely engulfs the body of the previous candle that goes right before it.  And it gets even better.  In order to massively improve your trading results, I want to introduce you to my thin blue line indicator. This is used by some of the most successful traders in history whether they know it or not.  Here’s how it works.  For long trades or when you’re buying, you’re already looking for stocks trading above a rising 20 period moving average, and the bullish engulfing candlestick pattern closing in the direction of the rising trend. And that’s where an understanding of the thin blue line indicator gives you; an edge that allows you to build a massive global trading business, with nothing more than a laptop.  You now have a proven system to spotting potentially very fast moving trends right when they are getting started, and a simple way to work out when to close your positions to lock in your profits.  Now if you like this, I think you will really like my Trend Traders Club Advanced Coaching Program.
