There is a very common perception that high risk mean high return. Normally it is used in stock and mutual fund investments. The conclusion of the investors is that More you put your investment on Risk, Higher returns you can generate. In my opinion, it is not correct to conclude that high risk mean high return in stock or mutual fund investments. The main objective of the investor should be to maximize return by taking the minimum or medium risk. In this video, i will try to explain how to calculate risk index and how to select mutual fund scheme based on risk index. The 2 key parameters are the probability of loss and corresponding quantum of loss in %. To calculate the probability of loss, you should consider the time horizon of investment. On the other hand, the quantum of loss is net return over your investment horizon. In the case of profit, consider it to be negative as we are calculating loss. Analysing one’s risk is an important factor before investing. So, this time, on The Mutual Fund Talk, we bring a test which can help you in identifying your risk-taking capacity and your risk-tolerance level. This video is one of a three-part series to help you in making investments by yourself. The second video of the series will deal with Investment Ideologies while the third will entail Managing Investment. This test has been crafted by our expert analysts, and involves a total of 7 questions divided into two parts. The first part checks your financial risk so that you can understand how much risk you can take. And the second part checks how much risk you can tolerate, that is, your psychological risk tolerance level. Each part awards you with points based on the options you choose in the questions. Take their total and compare it against Risk Bands in the Score Card, so that you can gauge what your Financial and Psychological risk actually is. So, take this test to find out how much risk you can take, and how much you can tolerate. And if you like the test, don’t forget to five it a thumbs up and share it among your friends and family, so that they can gauge their risk as well. #mutualfunds #risk #quiz Tags: Risk Analysis Test in mutual funds Measuring the risk of a mutual fund Mutual Funds Analysis Risk in Mutual Funds Mutual fund analysis with beta Management of Risk in investment Types of Risk in Investment Analysing Risk Return and Performance of Mutual Funds Mutual Funds Technical Analysis risk in mutual fund investment Risk Measures in Mutual Fund Identity Risk in Mutual Funds Understanding Investment Risks Mutual Fund Risk Factors Risks in Mutual Funds Mutual Funds Risk and Performance Analysis risk analysis in mutual funds mutual funds risk analysis test Risks of Investing in Mutual Fund How Risky is your Mutual Fund Calculate Risk in Mutual Fund Risk Assessment before Investing Risk Tolerance Risk Tolerance Tips Risk profiling Know your risk tolerance Risk profile before investing in Mutual funds how to select best mutual funds how to select best mutual funds in india how to select mutual funds how to choose mutual funds for sip how to select mutual funds india how to select mutual funds for investment how to select good mutual funds how to select mutual funds in hindi how to select mutual funds for investment india how to select mutual funds for investment in india how to select best performing mutual funds how to select mutual funds for short term how to select mutual funds for long term how to select which mutual funds to invest in how to select best mutual funds for sip Investment Risk Tolerance Assessment Investing and risk appetite Identifying Risk Tolerance Risk Measure

Alpha and Beta in Hindi Alpha and beta are both risk ratios that investors use as a tool to calculate, compare and predict returns. You are most likely to see alpha and beta referenced with mutual funds. Both measurements utilize benchmark indexes, such as the BSE Sensex, and compare them against the individual security to highlight a particular performance tendency. Alpha is a measure of an fund's performance compared to a benchmark. It's a mathematical estimate of the return, based usually on the growth of earnings per share. Beta, on the other hand, is based on the volatility—extreme ups and downs in prices or trading—of the stock or fund, something not measured by alpha. But beta, too, is compared to a benchmark. Try My Private Investing Platform & Community For FREE! ▶︎ https://www.hamishhodder.com/introduction ------- PV of Growth Annuity Calculator: http://financeformulas.net/Present_Value_of_Growing_Annuity.html In this one I explain exactly how Warren Buffett calculates the intrinsic value of a company on the stock market. I just finished reading all of Warren Buffett's essays and have compiled all of his tips on calculating the value and buy price of a business. Buffett indicates that he uses a traditional Discounted Cash Flow method of valuation. This intrinsic calculation method involves estimating the total amount of cash a stock or business can provide its owners over its remaining lifetime, and discounting them at a risk-free rate. A significant amount of Warren Buffett's investing success comes down to his ability to estimate future cash flow. This is ultimately a result of Buffett's thorougher understanding of consumer behaviour. If you want to become a great investor, the first step is to expand your knowledge of how businesses operate in industries that are of interest to you. The more you study these industries, the more accurately you will be able to make estimations of the cash a business or stock can provide you over the next 10 years. Now Buffett concedes that it isn't possible to accurately project the cash flow of specific years into the future, because we don't know how consumers will behave in the short term. We may know that a person who owns and has always owned iPhones is likely replace that iPhone with a new one in the next 5 years, but we don't know when that is specifically going to happen. So instead of estimating specific cash flows, we just estimate a conservative growth rate for cash over the next 10 years. Once we have our cash flow growth rate, we want to grow what's called Owner's Earnings which is a cash flow number Buffett uses to estimate the amount of cash an owner can pull out of a business within a specific year. The calculation of this number is outlined in his letters to the shareholders and involves adding back non-cash charges to Net Income, as well as subtracting capital expenditures used to maintain the long term assets of the business. Finally we need a risk-free rate which is the rate we can achieve from investing in a 10-year US or AUS treasury bond. At the current time this is 2.7% We simply plug all that into a Growth Annuity Formula (linked above), and we get an intrinsic value calculation, which then needs to be discounted a further 60-80% to allow for a margin of safety. NOI, or Net Operating Income, determines, and drives what you should pay for a deal and the debt you can get. As a real estate investor, your job is to increase the NOI. First, find out how to calculate it and then how to increase it. Understanding NOI is incredibly important in doing a deal. In simple terms, NOI is the gross operating income minus the operating expenses. Securing financing is based on if the property can service the debt and meet the mortgage payments and still have an acceptable monthly cash flow. Investing requires that you do your homework. Take a moment to understand the terms, the math and time involved. Investing is not trading. Investing in real estate means owning a real asset that produces cash flow and has the potential to appreciate. Want more advice and help? Namaste Doston, In this video, we have tried to give an honest review of the National Pension System. National Pension System is a pension plan which is initiated by the Central Government of INDIA. National Pension Scheme (NPS) is a government-sponsored pension scheme. It was launched in January 2004 for government employees. However, in 2009, it was opened to all sections. The scheme allows subscribers to contribute regularly in a pension account during their working life. On retirement, subscribers can withdraw a part of the corpus in a lump sum and use the remaining corpus to buy an annuity to secure a regular income after retirement. Any Indian citizen between 18 and 60 years can join NPS. The only condition is that the person must comply with know your customer (KYC) norms. You will know about the following information of NPS:- (i) NPS Calculator. (ii) NPS Contribution. (iii) NPS Tax Benefit. (iii) how to invest in NPS. (iv) NPS returns. (v) what is PRAN number? and much more information about NPS. NPS gives you a secure retirement. We are going to make many videos on retirement planning in the near future. So please subscribe our channel to so you can access all videos. I hope you enjoy this video. Thank you l Namaste. Learn more about Preston’s Intrinsic Value Course that teaches you step-by-step how to calculate the intrinsic value of a stock in 18 exclusive videos: https://www.theinvestorspodcast.com/product/intrinsic-value-course/ Preston Pysh is the #1 selling Amazon author of two books on Warren Buffett. The books can be found at the following location: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0982967624/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=0982967624&linkCode=as2&tag=pypull-20&linkId=EOHYVY7DPUCW3WD4 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1939370159/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=1939370159&linkCode=as2&tag=pypull-20&linkId=XRE5CA2QJ3I2OWSW Use the intrinsic Value Calculator at: http://www.buffettsbooks.com/intelligent-investor/stocks/intrinsic-value-calculator.html In this lesson, students learned that the intrinsic value can be defined as the discounted value of the cash that can be taken out of a business during it's remaining life. For us, we've defined the life as the next ten years. This way, we can discount that cash by the 10 year federal note. The Cash that we are taking out of the business is simply the dividends and the book value growth during the next 10 years. Since these numbers need to be estimated, it's very important to ensure that Warren Buffett's third rule (a stock must be stable and understandable) is met. When a company doesn't have a history of linear growth, estimating the cash that they will produce for the next ten years becomes more speculative. When we look at the root of the intrinsic value calculator, it operates off of the same principals as a bond calculator. Instead of using coupons, we substitute dividends. And instead of using par value (or value at maturity) we estimate the book value of the business in 10 years. The value that we use to discount the summation of the cash is simply the 10 year federal note. Although the previous paragraph might sound confusing to some, it's application is fairly straight forward. The reason Buffett says, "Two people looking at the same set of facts, will almost inevitably come up with at least slightly different intrinsic value figures," is due to a difference in opinion of the future cash flows. Since some investors are more conservative than others, their estimates of book value growth or dividend payments may be lower. This will immediately change the intrinsic value. Your job as an intelligent investor is to determine your own tolerance for risk and conservative estimates on how much money you will receive while owning the stock for a 10 year period. If you ever have difficulty understanding the material, simply click on the link for the forum above. Be sure to sign-up for an account and ask any questions you might have. Just because you didn't understand something in this lesson, doesn't mean you have to simply give up on the process. If you would like to learn more about how this calculator works, be sure to read this article published by Preston: It is here: http://ezinearticles.com/?How-to-Calculate-the-Intrinsic-Value-of-Stocks-Like-Warren-Buffett&id=7262028
