I don't ask viewers for money to support for my YouTube channel, as this is a hobby I enjoy sharing, freely. However, this is my 5th anniversary being brain tumor free, and I'm reaching out to my viewers to consider a donation to support my team (6:35) in the 2018 National Brain Tumor Walk in Boston in effort to raise awareness and money to fund research in finding new treatments and technology to fight brain tumors for those battling this life-threatening situation.
There's NO pressure to donate, but in this video, you'll see how I used _my artwork_ to raise money for me and my family to get through the most challenging time of our life, and to continue to help raise thousands of dollars to help others, just like me.
I hope this video is met with understanding and you can look forward to more art, reviews, and music content coming very soon. Thank you ~ Mark

Thank you so much for sharing this video! It immediately caught my eye because I just discovered my passion for art & my new passion is helping me fight my illness, Sickle Cell Anemia. I've always love being creative; but art is the first creative endeavor I've been able to pursue while stuck in bed. Art gives me such an incredible sense of peace & accomplishment that I've never experienced before. So although I'm a beginner I'm very dedicated & have drawn daily since Dec 3, 2018. I truly believe God has finally shown me my purpose in life & I want to use it to serve both Him & others with my disease. I apologise for such a long comment but; your story has helped me verify my life's purposes. I have no idea of how to use my art for Sickle Cell Anemia but if you can offer any advice it would be a dream come true. I doubt you'll ever read this; but I still had to stop & say THANK YOU.
This is so very inspirational. It resonates with me, because I'm going through a tough time, and by watching the way you fought through your difficulties, it makes me believe that I can get to a better place with time and effort. I'm so glad that you are better now and I hope you continue to be healthy. And thank you so much for sharing this !
PS - your children look so adorable !
Thank you for such kind words and support, Shahema Tafader! I'm sorry to hear you're going through some things, but please know I'll put a prayer out there, for what it's worth. Time, effort, and patience go a long way with recoveries and healing. Take care and again, thank you! :)
💔😢💜 I'm sorry I'm seeing this late Mark, but I just wanted to say what a remarkable human being you are. Not many have the disposition to make limeade out of lines so to speak when dealt one of the worst hands possible. Your story brought tears to my eyes and you're truly an inspiration.
My son is watching a tv show with REALLY loud volume so I’m not going to fight against it. I’m devoting time to this later tonight; but I love your videos and all the wisdom and talent within them. My sister passed away Dec. 16th last year. Her birthday was just over a week ago, and I haven’t experienced the emotional roller coaster that’s bound to accompany the 1 year anniversary. Long story long, (sorry) I have totally taken art as my coping strategy to help me through the pain of loss. I absolutely believe that art can possess incredible benefits and I’m so pleased to hear you’re at the other end of a horrendous journey with your health.
M.D. Campbell 😆 that’s good advice - all of it - including my son at the end! Lol
My sister’s name was Amber. She was incredibly artistic and positive as well. Thank you for having us in your thoughts 🤗
Well, let me start by expressing my sincere sympathies regarding your sister. If you read this and care to reply, please post her name so I can offer a simple prayer for her, you and your family. For me, it's important to maintain the memory of those we love and whom we grieve for. A dear friend of mine lost her husband just a few days ago, and during today's walk, I chose to honor my friend, her husband, and their family in my speech. It's not much, but putting it out there, I believe, is a positive energy that flows through anyone who hears it. As for art being part of a coping strategy, omg yes! I totally agree! Thank you, Andria Police, for sharing your situation and for taking your time to watch this, as well as your thoughtful words. Now, go tell your son to turn it down or the guy on YouTube is gonna start talking really loud in his videos! lol!!! Cheers to you! :)
Oh my, I'm very sorry to hear about your battle. I understand how tiring it can be. I remember when I went through my situation, and how life continues to be. I'm delighted that you have art to help you cope, A Remedy Project. Stay strong! :)
Dear Mark. Thank you for the inspiration and thank you for sharing your story with us. Unrelated, but do you by any chance have a procreate (or other iPad drawing) course? Maybe on Udemy or Skillshare? I really enjoy your style - both your teaching and art style (as well as life approach style!) and would love to learn more from you. ~Elizabeth
Wow, Karen Hirsch! Huge congratulations on overcoming your thyroid challenges! What an amazing feat and you should be so proud and overjoyed! Cheers to good health and all the art in the years to come! :)
Thanks for sharing such a personal story but I'm glad you're tumor free. It means we get to enjoy more of your fantastic art and inspirational words.
I don't have much to offer but I donated a small amount.
omgosh, books2art – thank you so much! I'm thrilled you were able to check this video out and, of course, you chose to donate. When I first began this mission, I was embarrassed to ask people for help, let alone money. But, after five years, I've learned that, in anything we do, if we don't ask for help then we struggle alone; in asking, we can share in the success, instead, united and together. I don't see any donation as small or large - they are just contributions to a larger cause. I'm sincerely grateful and humbled by all your support, but especially your thoughtfulness and kindness in donating. Thank you!
I appreciate your generous words, pawan nath art. I'm just a goofy guy who had a life re-direction that I was able to turn into something positive. Not everyone is that fortunate. Stay well, my friend! :)
Thank you, so much, arcuda2001! Every year is a milestone and not without it's own host of challenges. I'm thrilled to be able to look back at five years, with smiles and tears, but to also look forward to the next five years with hope and aspirations. Thank you so much for donating! Stay well and I'll be thinking of you tomorrow! :)
Congratulations on your survival & success! It’s always so heartwarming to hear stories of where our passions take us!!! I believe if we find the “Flow” we can move mountains!
I’ll meander over to your website and see what I can do. Again, congratulations!
I had no idea you had a tumour. I found your channel a few weeks ago and had a pituitary tumour myself in 2002. It wasn’t cancerous and I have regular MRI’s to make sure it doesn’t recur. My art was messed up for a long time, but now all my medications are well balanced and I’ve started making art again. Keep going sir. Onward and upward!
Thank you, Simon Barnsley. Wow. Just wow! I'm so happy to know that you are clear and things are balanced out in your life. I promise to keep going if you do! lol! Stay healthy and thank you, again! :)
I know it sounds cliché, but the only amazing thing about me is that I was blessed with a gift to communicate, and it simply made sense to use that in ways to help others, whether in a classroom, on YouTube, or in my charity efforts. Nothing "amazing," but I'm humbled by your words. As for your DIL, it's not uncommon for those of us who have had these tumors to have lingering side effects. I've got a list as long as my forearm, but I try - very hard - to keep it all in check. Thank you, Naomi Campbell, for your support and kind words. My best wishes to your DIL, as well. :)
I saw your donation and my heart swelled, Dr. Oto Kano. I'm grateful to be connected with you in this community, not just for the donation, obviously, but for all the incredible effort you bring to your channel and the passion you bring with your creative spirit. Thank you for everything AND for the donation! I'm humbled right now. :)
