love these vids Todd, cheers! Whats your average profit % target and stop % when entering a trade? and the fee you are charged to do a full round trade?, as in - BTC/USD for example and then USD/BTC to complete the trade.

There is also an indicator called "BTC margin traders: Long vs. Shorts". I've been using it for a while

Is there a way to "test" a specific signal or a specific "strategy" ? for example lets say I started on 1st of March with 1 btc and 1 eth and "everytime BTCETH goes 8% above upper bollinger band in 4h charts I sell btc and vice verca" or any other random condition, is there a non-manually way to check what the result would have been? Thanx for the video, very interesting as always, didnt even know there where charts for shorts/longs. keep it up !

yeap ! What I ment is that I am not capable of customizing it at the level I d be interested in so I am looking for ways to work arround that, probably I ll out-source it somehow ! There is a ton of strategies under the category "script" as well that you can use as a "base" and there even people selling their strategies there as well.

Good man, thanks for the update. I had a look at it as well now. When you open the Pine Editor then on the right side you have buttons "Open" "New" "Save" "Add to Chart" etc. If you click on the "New" then it opens up a whole list of pre-made strategies. You can pick the one that suits you and the click add to chart and then you can use these for backtesting. I'm just looking at the MACD crossover strategy at the moment. I think you can customize them as well by the looks of it. A lot easier that writing it all from the scratch.

so i found some stuff, there is this pine editor option on tradingview which you mentioned its simple java code where you can write a strategy/scenario and backtest it afterwards, lets you see what trades would have been filled if you were running that strategy and the results. I managed to create a simple strategy (because of my poor programming skills) about RSI and it worked almost fine but unfortunatelly I cant make a more complex one as the tutorials online about that are poorly demonstrated + I dont want/dont have time to learn java :D. There is also a site named back-test rookies which they seem to hold a blog with some very informative stuff and a few more complicated examples on other indicators. I will dig deeper cause I find this very interesting, if someone (especially someone with some plain java knowledge) wants to help each other on that is more than welcomed to join me !

ahuh, found what you are talking about also found some tutorials on youtube but nothing is explained easily so I still dont know how to put to test specific indicators, its something to start of though, if I manage to make it I ll come back here and post how its done

I haven't personally tried it myself, just know that the option exists. It's a little tab all the way in the bottom "Strategy Tester" There're some YouTube videos available as well to guide you through and you can use existing indicators or even make your own in the PineEditor. Best of Luck

Looks like 50/50 indecision? Maybe G20 nervousness? Will be interesting to see what happens next 2 days.
