$60M Japan cryptocurrency HACK suspects located in France and Germany. Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Hackers who robbed a Japanese cryptocurrency exchange in September may have infiltrated the site from locations in France and Germany.
Japan Digital Design, a subsidiary of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, said the hackers who stole $60 million from Zaif were trying to send MonaCoin, a cryptocurrency, to a different account, when their Internet Protocol or IP addresses, were uncovered.

I am coming to expect great videos from your channel, and this is another one! Every time I am in Japan, I feel like I have stepped into the future, and apparently it also applies to crypto. As I recall, when you walk down the street, it is not uncommon to see restaurants and bars especially, that accept BTC. Maybe in a future vid, you could cover the payment processor that enables zero-confirmation transactions to be guaranteed to the merchant? That is key for adoption.
Love Yokohama! Then again, there is no city I have visited there that I did not like.
+crypto Eri It is great to have "feet on the ground"( you) in Asia specifically Japan, some of the material on cc and xrp is to US and EU focused sometimes missing the massive development that is happening on a daily basis in Asai. Keep up the excellent work.
coinfield is some what disappointing .. fiat with drawl £50 via some mad slow wire transfer 1-5 days that they wont support you with for at least 10 days!! that is utterly awful PR straight of the bat and some what pointless .. why bother with XRP/FIAT pairs if there is no way to send directly to a bank account with out high fees and longer then BTC tx time.. is that not what the entire purpose of XRP is for ... the paypal option is not too bad but yeah your still better off selling to fiat via BTC and suffer the slowness and fees there (rocket speed compared to 1-5 days)
Things are slowly ratcheting up and becoming more exciting. I know many don’t like this idea but with all of the good news surrounding XRP and the general crypto world there should be a little bit of a parabolic movement. Smile. Just my uneducated expectation. Great show and good luck to all.
The Edo and Meiji periods are definitely interesting. It's pretty incredible that Japan basically went from middle ages technology to post industrial revolution technology in 60-ish years.
In a lot of ways crypto is a perfect fit to the Japanese ethos of embracing major societal change while at the same time having respect for the past.
Fascinating culture. I really need to work on my Japanese a bit and take a visit over there sometime. ✌🇯🇵🇺🇸
Vancouver is Canada's most beautiful major city, a valley set between the pacifc ocean and Rocky mountains. 2nd largest in the nation and probably among the most liberal.
It also doesn't get the harsh winters that the rest of Canada gets each year, hence its popularity.
Vancouver itself isn't that large in area The greater Vancouver area spans around 2800 sq kms though. Cost of living is the highest in Canada, with more than 85% of avg income going to housing.
As an XRP holder of future wealth, this city is definitely a place i plan on living in, for at least good portion of a given year.
Have you visited Vancouver before Eri?
Been to Vancouver many times. I lived in Seattle and still have lots of family and friends in the Northwest. Best memory I have in Vancouver is the Shakes Spear Festival outdoors. That was fabulous! I've driven many times AND have taken the train! I also remember the music festival in Stanley park. I love the water taxi! I still have the two martini glasses, hand painted that I bought there, with me here in Tokyo. I have a big piece of my heart still in the Northwest.
+Dan Scholz interesting you mention that. It's much colder in Alberta, and i took full advantage of 16-20C weather, sweating in a sleeveless and flip flops.
But the locals were mostly bundled up in jackets, scarves and layers. It's 16-20 degrees colder here! Lol
Actually i buy from dispensaries on the Eastside. Although the neighborhood is sketchy, rental property is lower, and is reflected in better prices. Speed limit 15! Lol
Sure, next time i visit Van, we can share a few joints. For shits n giggles, we can meet up on E. Hastings. I'll be in a lifted monster truck.
It does get damp cold though. I will see you if you go downtown eastside on hastings. I will be the one covered in urine with a needle in my arm jumping into my lambo with Da rudes Sandstorm blasting at full volume. We should hang out.
the only thing bitcoin cash is good for is maybe attract enough momentum to initiate the next bull run. that's all it's good for. It's a shit coin. It's still slow AF and will eventually fade into obscurity. The only reason why bitcoin cash is rising right now is because of an upcoming fork off of bitcoin cash. but a sister chain of a slow AF coin translates to shit. When people realize there isn't much utility for bitcoin cash, it's going to plummet by at least 50%. i would only buy bitcoin cash for the short term. bitcoin cash isn't a long term hodl
Hi Eddie, you are by far my favorite you tuber. Love your content and appreciate the research that you put into your work. Looking forward to many more videos. And when XRP takes off. Sayonara form Seattle.
Eri, the true market capitalization of XRP is approx. $53B (as listed on XRP Charts), not circa $20B (as listed on crypto sites). Market capitalization is supposed to account for all outstanding shares, which in the case of a decentralized crypto-asset (not a security) should account for all mined coins/tokens. This means all of Ripple Inc's holdings should be accounted. The same goes for XLM which true market capitalization is closer to $26B when accounting for Stellar Foundation's holdings.
+Ryan Prentiss I know Ripple company is different entity . I am saying Ripple owns most of the XRP. When Ripple wants to divest XRP then it will have some consequences and it may not be positive . Hopefully it is far down the road .
+Ryan Prentiss , Total supply was created by open coin at once . Open coin was renamed as Ripple lab . Company gave away very small amount and kept vast majority of XRP for for itself , to be sold in future at company's discretion . Then Ripple lab re branded again as Ripple . Ripple put 55 billion of XRP in escrow account cryptographically locked and they can draw 1 billion coin per month. Dilution may not be proper word but oversupply will reduce the price of XRP . In essence it will have same affect . On other hand XLM cam only be given away and not sold for money . Only time will tell which performs better . If i had choice I would rather own Ripple company than XRP
EOS was ongoing ICO that issued about a billion token . Block one was given coins are part of circulating supply and it can be used for the operation as needed . It is a part of total supply which is same as circulating supply . This total supply increases by perpetual inflation of 5% per year . You have to read inflation protocol . XRP has fixed supply zero inflation and XLM has 1% inflation per year. Rules are set by blockchain and not the private organization . Outside blockchain's rule , private organization can do what they want to do with their coins. You are getting confused with different protocols .
+Vijay Varade You're not understanding securities, commodities, and how dilution works. XRP is a pre-mined commodity and is therefore not representative of Ripple, the company; otherwise, it'd be a security. Ripple is a holder of XRP just like everyone one else, so their "locking up" of coins in escrow is no different from anyone else announcing the "lock up" of their coins in escrow. Therefore, as there are no new coins being introduced, but instead coins Ripple is willing to sell off from their personal holdings, it is by definition, not dilution. Comparatively, it's the difference between new BTC being mined -- which constitutes dilution, versus Satoshi's wallet being accessed. This is all to say, fear of a major seller is not the same as dilution.
+Geoffrey Kirwan .If market cap goes too high then coin will be too expensive in terms of valuation and then it is likely to retrace . Retracement is part of market cycle and sometime it is pushed in opposite direction more than it's value and becomes undervalued . Value is the perception of traders and any given time it is unknown for sure . Prices can not be predicted for sure , it can only be evaluated in terms of probability . One just need a plan to enter , exit and managing a trade . Taking profit here and there is also a good idea instead of waiting for $589 price.
